About Nashville's Chimney Sweep
Nashville's Chimney Sweep is a chimney sweep and repair company serving Nashville and 64 more towns across 12 counties of Middle Tennessee — and we stake our name on how the work goes.
A chimney sweep is a hundred-dollar visit that can become a five-thousand-dollar liner sale, and the difference is whether the technician showed you the camera. Our sweeps are certified, inspect with a camera on every visit, and quote repairs from the pictures rather than the fear.
What we do
- Inspect with a camera. Every sweep includes a video inspection of the flue, and you see it.
- Sweep the whole system. Flue, smoke chamber, damper and firebox; the creosote in the smoke chamber is the fire risk.
- Quote repairs from the findings. A cracked tile, a missing cap or a bad crown is photographed and priced; nothing is sold from the roof.
What we will not do
- Sell a liner without showing the flue. A liner is a real repair for a real problem, and the camera shows which you have.
- Skip the smoke chamber. A swept flue over an unswept smoke chamber is the fire nobody expected.
- Leave soot in the house. Drop cloths, a vacuum and a clean hearth when the technician leaves.
What we actually work on
What a chimney sweep and outdoor fireplace builder handles, and what each job covers.
The chimney sweeping problems Middle Tennessee homeowners bring us most often:
- Smoke comes back into the room
- Sharp smell from the fireplace
- Birds or animals in the chimney
- Water staining round the hearth
- Cracked or missing chimney crown
- Damper stuck or will not seal
- Gas logs will not light or stay lit
- Want an outdoor fireplace on the patio
Who does the work
Every sweep on our crew is certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America and works under liability insurance we hold on file.
Beyond the paperwork, the test is how somebody handles the part of a chimney sweeping job that does not go to plan — the honest call when the estimate has to change, and whether you hear about it before the work or after. The chimney sweeps who stay with us are the ones who have passed that test on jobs we know about.
Why we do not publish reviews yet
No reviews on this site yet: a company this new has none to show, and the chimney business has enough scare tactics without borrowed praise.
Where we work
Chimney technicians serving Nashville also cover Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville; the routes run through 65 towns in 12 counties. Each of the main cities has its own page — what its houses mean for chimney sweeping, who issues the permits, which neighborhoods are inside the run.
If you want to understand the work before you speak to anyone, our chimney sweeping guide covers what drives the price, what your options are and what a badly done job looks like — written so you can judge any chimney sweep in the region, including us.
Who we are
Behind Nashville's Chimney Sweep is Michael Blair, its owner, who runs it and accepts responsibility for each word here. The pages draw on manufacturer documentation, Tennessee code and the chimney trade’s own practice and are updated when those change; every post shows his name and its date. Every sweep is licensed and insured and works under the commitments on this page, and Nashville's Chimney Sweep answers for their work.
A sweep holds no Tennessee contractor’s license for sweeping; the papers to see are the CSIA certification and a current certificate of insurance, both before the drop cloth goes down. verify.tn.gov shows a license wherever one applies, and every city page gives that town’s permit office.
